By using Biodata.sg or submitting information to us, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the platform.

What this policy covers

Biodata.sg is a platform that helps employers browse domestic helper biodata, discover agencies, and make contact with agencies or helpers. Public listings and search visibility

Biodata and agency information submitted for listing may be made publicly available on Biodata.sg and may be visible to employers, agencies, service providers supporting the platform, and search engines. This means listed content may be viewed, copied, cached, or indexed outside our direct control.

If you submit biodata or agency content, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the authority and required consents to make that information public. Please do not submit personal data that you are not authorized to disclose.

When we may disclose personal data

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose personal data:

Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and analytics tools to remember preferences, understand traffic patterns, measure performance, secure the site, and improve user experience. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling them may affect how some features work.

Retention of personal data

We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including to maintain listings, manage user relationships, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal or regulatory obligations. When retention is no longer necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or de-identify the data.

Protection of personal data

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, or similar risks. No platform is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Transfers outside Singapore

Some of our service providers may process data outside Singapore. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the receiving party provides a standard of protection comparable to that required under applicable law.

Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal data in our possession or control, request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, or withdraw consent for certain processing activities. You may also ask us to de-list or delete data where appropriate, but we may retain information where required or permitted by law or where it remains necessary for legitimate business purposes.

To protect privacy and security, we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Certain requests may be limited where exceptions under the PDPA or other legal obligations apply.

Children

Biodata.sg is intended for adults and businesses involved in lawful hiring and recruitment. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children for independent use of the platform.

Third-party services

The platform may contain links to third-party websites, messaging services, payment tools, or social media features. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one, and we are not responsible for how those third parties handle personal data.
