The migrant domestic worker levy is a monthly employer cost that applies while the helper's Work Permit is in force. The amount depends on whether she is the household's first or subsequent helper and whether the household qualifies for a concession.

MOM calculates the daily rate as the monthly rate multiplied by 12 and divided by 365, rounded up to the nearest cent. The daily rate applies only when the helper does not complete a full calendar month.
Who qualifies for the concession?

- An elderly person aged 67 or above who is a Singapore citizen.
- An eligible person with a disability under MOM's concession scheme.

How to pay the levy
MOM says levy for each month is due by the 17th of the following month, or the next working day if that date falls on a weekend or public holiday. Employers can use GIRO or the available PayNow QR process. Late or missed payment can lead to penalties and Work Permit consequences.
